My ex-Girlfriend from 3 years ago wrote me a letter. Her and I have been very close friends ever since we broke up. She sent me a letter, and in one part of the letter it stated "You and I will never forget the love and compassion that our friendship is based on, you you know that we can go back to it whenever we need, good or bad. I think you know exactly what i mean." Can someone analyze this for me? Thanks

The words are staring right at your face. She can never be clearer - she wants to try again and is waiting patiently for your answer. It takes a really brave girl to write that because personally, I won't. Kudos to your ex. She's strong. Analyse why you broke up with her in the past. If you feel both you and her deserve another chance, why not?

It's true, she's probably thinking about trying again. However, before you try again, remember all the reasons that you broke up in the first place. If you don't think that those reasons have been resolved, DO NOT begin a relationship again! This will only lead to hurt feelings.

I think it means that she's been thinking about you guys a lot lately and misses you. This is her way of saying she is game for trying the relationship again if you are willing... just let her know. I dunno... this is my interpretation but I don't know enough background on the relationship to give you a more informative answer.
