For the past few months my wrist has been hurting pretty badly on and off. It hurts all the way around my wrist, plus the back of my hand and about halfway up my forearm on the same side of my arm. It's a sharp, kind of weird pain. Kind of like when your back wants to crack or whatever.

I worked in a grocery store as a cashier, and we had to punch everything in manually (The prices and credit card numbers and everything). So I was thinking that might have something to do with it since it's only the wrist I used at work.

Anyway, it hurts really bad, does anyone know what might be wrong with it, or what I could do to fix it?

Start massaging your wrist everyday. Eat pineapple at least once a week it has enzymes that are supposed to be good for carpel tunnel. Also check your posture and the angle you hold your hand. You maybe holding it at an odd angle for your height and the position of the cash register If this is in the early stages and you do these things plus resting the hand also ibuprofen when it does flare up. It should go away.

That sounds like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. It's an inflammation of a tendon in the wrist. It's also a work related injury, so go to the OSHA Doc and have it treated. make sure you do everything (medical treatment) through your job.

Carpal tunnel or repetitive stress syndrome. Wrist brace might help.

Actually carpal tunnel syndrome is pinching of a nerve in your wrist not inflammation of a tendon.

Could be carpal tunnel syndrome. It's caused by overuse. Try resting it , ice and ibuprofen. Unfortunately it won't go away if you continue to cashier. It is a workman's comp. issue.

I would say thats its carpal(?) tunnel. But I dont know. It may be just a severe sprain. Have you tried wearing a brace? Go to your doc s/he might be able to diagnose.

I have the SAME problem. I would say either carpal tunnel, or arthritus.

I would assume that it is carpel tunnel and you should see your Dr. to be assessed and treated for this.
