I've made questions about this before. There's this guy who asked me out, got my number, said he would call, didn't call for a month, then called for a lunch date, but a month had passed and I had found someone else who is now my boyfriend. My boyfriend and I are in love. I'm crazy about him.

When this guy called, I told him we could be friends, but let him know that I had a boyfriend. He called again, and I reminded him that I'm taken. He sounded disappointed. I asked him why he didn't call sooner, and he said he had no money. Now he's sent me a text message asking me to go to a football game this weekend (a football game being the date he asked me out on that didn't happen).

Is he meaning this to be friends? How would you handle this situation. He's quite persistant. My boyfriend is well-aware of the situation. In fact, I got the text message when I was in the car with him.

Have you ever dealt with this situation? I would like to be his friend, but I don't want to lead him on.

More specifically, how do I respond to this text message?

Sounds familiar.

It's his loss.

Had no money?? Where did he spend it on??

You are taken now.
Tell him to stop treating you like you are suddenly out-of-the-blue together!

You cannot be his friend. Tell him to leave you alone and go be happy some place else.
Every nice word or deed you do for him would be in his mind a chance to change your mind.
If you love your boyfriend, tell this guy to move along.

THE BEST WAY IS TO LET HM KNOW THAT YOU ARE WITH
SOMEONE ELSE AND THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE
FRIENDS. BUT THAT ALL IT CAN BE. IF HE HAS A PROBLEM
WITH THAT THEN YOU NEED TO CUT OFF ALL CONVSERSATION.
