I'm looking for ways to get from Christchurch Airport to anywhere in Dunedin without a car - are there any good trains/ buses/ flights? Who sells them? There's absolutely nothing on the web (well, nothing I could find at least...).
Thanks.

Intercity Coach is good and not very expensive. Can not recall off hand where it picks up so you may need to get into town first from the Airport. If you are feeling adventurous, you could hitchhike too, just be prepared to kick in a few dollars for gas if asked. You can also try calling some of the local car rental companies in Christchurch and see if they have any cars that need to be relocated to Dunedin (you drive it without pay but free rental).

All of modern Zealand can supply the atmosphere/way of life you're conversing approximately. i think of of the NZ government is making an attempt to get people to pass down south so there ought to be incentives to pass someplace like Dunedin. I lived in Wellington and that's my well-known city on earth. I walked to artwork, ate my lunch by way of technique of the sea - it has great museums, relaxing nightlife, extremely parks - that's relatively consumer-friendly have been given plenty going for it. each concern it extremely is, diverse than the climate. that's very undesirable. stable now they're having a great summer season time yet Wellington is in many cases rain & wind. Auckland, despite the fact that if, has plenty nicer climate. It additionally has greater effective of a "great city" experience yet i for my section prefer Welly. Now - there is greater effective suited than relatively those 2 cities in NZ, too. Napier is eye-catching - having the foremost 1930's shape of any city indoors the worldwide, i think of of. to boot, Nelson (on the nicely ideal of the south island, a ferry adventure from Wellington) gets the foremost image voltaic consistent with NZ city so some distance as i comprehend and has a snug little coffeeshop artsy fartsy city experience. that's merely too now no longer undemanding to declare - every physique likes what they like. you may desire to incredibly relatively pass down for a pass to and make a variety afterwards! in any different case, my thoroughly biased answer is - pass to Wellington!
