Hello I been in bad apin for over a year and a half now. Have had my gallbladder removed because of hida scan ejetion fration of 12%. Have also had colonscopy, edg, catscan, mrcp, and ultrasounds, which all showed nothing. I have pain right under my breastbone and goes into my back, and shoulderblades. It happens with attacks, my longest one being 6 hours and was caused from drink 4-5 beers. Other attack have happen from stress and fatty foods. Also have yellow watery stools, and most of my food dont get broke down anymore. It also can look oily, mucus, and float on top of water. I am taking all kinds of meds, right now they think I have SOD , but I am wondering if it could be pancreastitis, even though my blood results has always come back normal (has never been taken during attack though) Any ideas would be great, I am so tierd of being sick, and always nausated. thanks so much. Shannon/MI

God bless you, sounds like you have had a lot of health issues. IBS can cause the stool problems as can many medications. I am more concerned with the pain and the location. Most people think chest pain or left arm pain is the only signal of heart problems, that is a fatal error to thousands. The pain is often associated with the back, it seems to radiate toward or from the center of the back between the shoulder blades. Back pain and heart issues are pretty common in women but can be a sign for anyone. If you are lucky it occurs in episodes and the first sign isnt a fatal heart attack. An echocardiogram can tell a lot and is not invasive. No matter what any of them tell you stress tests are dangerous, sometimes necessary but have definate risk. Another signal of heart episodes can be fatigue following the episode. Talk to your doctor and please dont wait. Waiting caused my heart attack.

Your doctor is the one to ask. with no gall bladder, it looks as though you should be on a low fat diet. What is 'SOD'?

Those symptoms are secondary to having no gall bladder.
