it just takes a long time to finish the process, having months as intervals of the next session. I'm not even done with mine. i'm sure it works when done the right way... my friend and her mum are finished and it has been a year and they are still satisfied with the results. To others, it needs touch up after a few years. well, let's just see.

LASER Hair Removal
There are number of hair removalprocedures available to people these days, but very few are aware of the procedure of choice for them. Among Tweezers, Shaving, Depilatories, Waxing, Hair Inhibitors, Threading, Laser hair removal, Sugaring and Electrolysis, which suits whom the best is anyone’s guess. Although one thing is common for all; everyone wants a method, which promises permanent hair removal, and LASER is the only exclusive procedure.

Inspite of the fact that LASER hair removal is becoming well accepted by all, its results vary with individuals and may not suit few. Thus it is very essential that one must always go through these points before opting for LASER hair removal method.

LASER hair removal may be best suited for those who have dark hair on light skin, but before you rule yourself out as a candidate for this procedure, it is advisable to consult your dermatologist. Also collect as much relevant information regarding the procedure, either from the manufacturers or from their websites. Alternatives are always present, if you have light color hair, it is better to undergo artificial hair darkening which can be succeeded by LASER.

A consultation with your dermatologist is very vital. Meeting the technician and asking him to perform a test pulse is recommended. Since LASER hair removal technique is highly specific to skin and hair types, it is always desirable to seek a clinic which suits your needs and which has a friendly and informative staff that can keep you comfortable during your visits.

It really works but...
it doesn't work well on very light or grey hair.
The lighter your skin and the darker your hair the better it works (the laser concentrates on color).
Also hair grows in at different stages so new hairs emerging now might not have been around when you had your last laser treatment.

You could use a DIY laser hair removal kit like the Rio. It uses a safe 808nm diverging laser to destroy hair follicles. Its vastly cheaper to buy than a series of salon treatments.

The only downside is that it can only be used on pale skin and can only treat small areas of slin at a time due to its size.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
