You should be doing it in 7 or less.

Doggonit people she said jogging not running. Anyways, that is a good speed for jogging. It allows you to go much further. If your jogging you might as well go farther than 1 mile. At that speed you should be able to go 4 or more miles or try to work up to that.

If your jogging for a warm up personally I think that's a little to fast. If your jogging as your workout then yea 10 min is great. It should keep your heart rate in the right place. If your goal is to lower that time then you may want to add in some sprint intervals to your work out routine.

_Good Luck

A lot faster than that. Back years ago when I did track (I was no athlete back then haha), I was doing 2 miles in 20 minutes, and I was walking half the time.

Depends. If you were eighty-three, I'd be very impressed. I can do 3 miles in just under 20 minutes and I'm a 41 year-old guy who smokes cigarettes. (of course, I cough like a madman for ten minutes after I'm finished) Keep it up, though. I'm proud of you.
