Pain Therapy is usually done in a hospital or a clinic. Pain therapy is usually refering to the use of medications for a sever pain problem. A very common pain therapy remedy is an Epidural. This delivers the medication directly to the effected area. Usually they will instruct some physical therepy sessions of at least give excercises to help relieve the pain and strenghten the weakend area or surrounding areas affected. Also with pain therapy they might use Hot Parafin Wax to help loose the area. Or Heat or Ice. Or medicated creams rubbed into the area. Also when I had a knee injury they used a Ultra sound machine that sent deep heat inside my knee to help the tissue deep inside the knee. It really did help.

A chiropractor is a person trained to give massages/ work the area to try to realign areas that have been stress or injured.

Ask your doctor what would be the best for your particular injury or problem.
