I did a pregnancy test the other day and it was positive. I feel like crap and i cant eat but i cant let myself get hungry because both of these things make feel nauseas. I feel sick in the shower, when im driving and even when i am in bed trying to get to sleep. Im having trouble sleeping at night because i cant get comfortable. I still live at home and havent told anyone except my boyfriend so i have to try and pretend that i feel fine.

I have exams coming up in a couple of weeks for university. I feel exhausted. Im scared to go to the doctor but i know i have to. I dont know how to get through the next couple of week or my doctors appointment. I have already missed one app.

Ive told my boyfriend and he is supportive of me but he still doesnt understand the emotional side of it all and im finding that because he is the only one that knows, i am complaining to him about feeling sick all the time.

I have told my best friend and she said dont worry it could just be a false alarm but again i dont think she understands the emotional part of it. Im 19 and a student and work part time. Thanks for all your responses. They have been great.

Eat saltine crackers all the time or peanuts, or something that you can eat alot just a few every 1/2 hour or more if your more hungray. Don't take anything till you talk to your doctor. But the morning sickness(allday sickness) will go away after the first three months or so. It will get better but certain things may set it off like smells you may have liked before will make you sick now so try to stay away from candle shops or perfume places. I dont know how old you are but I was nineteen and really wanted my mom. My soon to be husband was helpful but not comforting at all. I was also allways sick to the point I was ready to give up and have it terminated. But icould never do that so I dealt with it try to subside with dry toast with a tiny bit of apple jelly for flavor and crackers lots of crackers. Keep a box in you car at work where ever you are alot. Have them next to the bed and a glass of water. Dont drink the water fast when you feel sick at night you may just get sick try to eat something first. And you will probably start waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom more and more. so try to sleep a little more than you usually do I took alot of naps. Snack allday long small snacks but it will help alot. Tell your mom if you feel safe. Or even a friends mom they can help they were there to. Your emotions are crazy so don't be afraid to cry at commercials and silly things. Good luck.

First, you need to go and see a doctor, if you plan on having this baby, a healty baby. So many things can go wrong when you're pregnant, theres so many tests that need to be done that tell you so much. Trust me, Im 9 months pregnant, Im due next thursday! And I can truly feel how you feel with being sick. Its horrible! Its not fun, it sucks. But most women do get sick in the beginning. Hopefully, for you, it will only be temporary, hopefully you wont be cursed with sickness your entire pregnancy! You do have to eat though, your little one needs nutrition too! Even though you cant hold your food down, you need to eat. Try to hang in there! Pregnancy is only temporary. Also, you need so much rest, thats probably why you feel like sh*&, cause you're not resting enough.
Good luck, and dont feel like you need to hide it, its a blessing, never feel ashamed or embarassed. you can be a student and a mother. I am!

With my first pregnancy, I was so sick. I lost weight for the first 3 months. Anytime I smelled food, thought of food, or tried to eat, I vomited. Just drink plenty of liquids, not water, it seems to make the nausea worse. Try sipping sprite, and nibbling on a plain cracker. My OB/GYN recommended that I try Popsicles. I did okay holding them down, but not always. There is not really anything they can do for you and the nausea. Some products are sold to help with nausea during pregnancy, but none of them work. It's really important that you make it to your next doctors appt, so you can get on vitamins and get a check up. Something else could be wrong with you and/or the baby and your body is letting you know with nausea. I learned that the hard way, the nurse was not checking my urine, and she was supposed to. Anyway, I went into preterm labor at 6 months, because of a severe kidney infection. Luckily, all was well, I changed docs! Good Luck!

First of all, not going to the doctor isn't going to make things better. It's important that you get prenatal care early so you can give birth to a healthy baby.
You will feel extremely tired at first. I know it's hard, but get as much rest as possible. Crackers like Saltines will help with the nausea. Eat a few in the morning to settle your stomach.
The last bit of advice I can give is don't keep it a secret. The stress you cause your body by not getting it off your chest is not healthy. Once it's out in the open, you'll feel a weight lifted off your shoulders, and can work with your loved ones on solutions to your road ahead.

I am sorry that you are feeling so crummy. I would see a doctor immediately. You need to be on prenatal vitamins. They are important for your baby's brain development. Until you make it to the doctor's office, eat lots of leafy green vegetables as a supplement. When I was pregnant, I was told to eat a few potato chips...it helped to settle my stomach. But soda crackers were healthier. Hot showers tended to make me feel worse too...so keep the showers cooler and shorter. I found that sleeping sitting more in an upright position helped too. It felt like heartburn/upset stomach, so the sitting up helped that too...the crackers will absorb some of the acid which is probably upsetting your stomach. The stress of it all is making you feel worse too. Take care!

You poor thing! As soon as you tell your parents &/or your bf and get it off your chest, you'll feel much better. I have no doubt that keeping your secret bottled up is contributing to the sickness you're feeling. And the longer you keep the secret the more anxious you're going to feel about it. In the meantime, get as much rest as you can and eat lots of small meals to combat the nausea. You're going to get through this. Unexpected and unplanned things like this sometimes turn out to be the most wonderful surprises ever. I sincerely wish you the best. But, please, for your sake and your baby's, find someone to confide in--your bf, a friend, your doctor.

You really need to go to the doctor. If you are scared, ask your boyfriend to come with you for moral support. You didn't get pregnant alone, and you shouldn't have to go through your pregnancy alone.

This will pass. I know it seems awful right now, but it will end eventually. You must get prenatal care though, don't skip anymore appointments - the health of you and your child depend on it.

Good luck to you.
