my mom got a letter from child services today, asking her to come to an apointment (which she never made) tomorrow, and to bring all her children. we are a bit nervous.
but, i just wanted to ask. can child services just schedule an apointment for you, or do you have to do it? and can they just tell you to come the next day without giving us a notice?
and are they allowed to come at your house at 12 in the morn.
and why do they say my mom needs to bring ALL OF HER CHILDREN
they put in capital letters. that scares the **** out of me b/c i love my mom and she hasnt done anyting wrong. except probably this person she knows, knows about me not evergoing outside. [i do homeschooling and i dont go outside b/c i have insecurity issues] but he couldnt be so mean to do that could he?
I love my mom :(
I dont want to be taken away or else I will DIE literally. My mom is everthing. these people gets me so boiled. they cant leave ppl alone

Unfortunately, they can tell your mom to to do this. As long as your mom has the proper documentation for your homeschooling and shows that you have not been abused, you should be fine. I hate nosy people, and the government has way too much control over things like this. Good luck tomorrow, and just don't let them intimidate you as you've done nothing wrong.

If your mom hasn't done anything wrong then there is nothing to worry about. I am a little confused because I thought they usually came to your house unexpectedly or with short notice. Someone may have noticed that you never go outside. If they did report it, they were looking out for your well being. Your mom will explain the situation and everything will be fine. You, however I am worried about. Your mom should get you some help and not let you stay in the house all the time or you will never get over your insecurities. You need a real life. You will be so happy you did. I had anxieties and insecurities when I was a kid. I did go out a little and had to go to school. I am now married with children and a house and my own life and if I had been allowed to be home schooled and stay in I would have, but now I would have no life to call my own. As an adult, I finally got the help I needed my whole life. My childhood and teen years could have been so much happier if I had gotten help earlier. Best of luck and I wish you a happy, fulfilled life.

Try to calm down. Yes child services has the right to schedule an appointment if someone has reported seeing something that they think may be problematic. But child services does not seek to separate families. If there is nothing wrong, then they will see that. Go to the meeting, be honest and see what they say. They may offer resources for you. It does worry me that you don't go out because of insecurities. They may suggest that you get some psychological help for that. That's something you will need to address at some point so that you can have a happy and fulfilling life later down the line. Remember that their job is to find out if kids are in trouble. I'd always rather know that an investigation was done and things are fine versus not checking and having a child in danger. So i know it's scary, but really, just go there and be honest and you may find it helpful in the end. THeir goal is to keep families together wherever possible, so try not to worry too much. They really don't want to yank children away from the world they know, it's always a last resort.

I have been down this road. Some power mad dope thought it was wrong for me to let my son go down the road on his bike to visit a friend. There was too much traffic on the road and he was too small to be that far from home. I live in the middle of now where. We don't have traffic. The police make a patrol past my house about once every 6 months. He was up in the night. It turned into a big blow out and he was threatening to take my kids away. I called the sheriff's office and complained. The sheriff called them and told them that they did not have any business at my house unless the sheriff or one of his deputies was there. I never saw them again except in my neighbors drive way looking at my house with binoculars. So when I came home one day and saw his car parked there again, I unloaded groceries and went into the house and got my binoculars out and looked right back at him so he knew I knew. I never saw him again. I even let my son served a tour in Iraq and they didn't complain about that. Ha

Ignore them. When they ask to see you, its not a court order. If they want to see you, they can come to the house. Home schooling a kid is not against the law. Having a kid with issues about going out side is not against the law either. Just make sure there is a cop there and they will be more careful not to over step the authority they have.

Your mother will have to gather all her children and attend the meeting scheduled for the family.Child services show up with little or no warning. Most likely someone has called social services out of concern for one of the childrens welfare.Possibly yours.A social worker may show up at your house anytime they feel the need regaurdless of the time of day or night and can be very persistant. Please try to show up for the set appointment to avoid concern with the social services dept. They will want to know if your doing the proper school work and check for any signs of abuse. They may talk with each child in private. This is normal so relax and good luck with your meeting

Likely they are investigating a report that may have been given to them by the person you mention or someone else who is concerned for your welfare. Do not be afraid of going. Once they assess the situation and find nothing wrong all will be well. You mention that you don't go outside, perhaps this caused some concern for someone and they want to find out what is going on. I don't think this is someone trying to be mean or malicious. Perhaps it would be possible for you to talk to a counselor about your issues of insecurity so that you could start going out some. Good Luck and don't worry!

I am very sorry this is happening to you. Try to calm down and not be to upset. This sometimes happens when people call and make a complaint they have to investigate. As long as your mom is taking proper care of you everything is going to be fine. Since you are home-schooled she will probably have to prove this. And they will just ask you some questions and make sure you are ok. And you also mentioned that you have some insecurities about going outside. They will probably try to get you some assistance with this, in the way of some counseling. I wish you the best of luck, try not to be to upset. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. God bless you.

Some1 must of tuned your mom in for you not going to school - so she will have to prove you do home schooling .
They will talk to you and your mom in different rooms to see if everything is ok and that you are not being abused.
They may even offer to get you some help with the not going outside problem you have -get the help if they do.Make sure you let them know your mom doesn't stop you from going out.
Some people just have to put there noses in every ones business.
Not every child is taken away just becuse they want to talk to you.

They've probably had a report of some kind and want to check on the welfare (well-being) of all the children. Just go to the appointment with your mom and find out what it's all about. Relax, things aren't always as bad as they seem.

My advices are :
1)keep calm do not worry and do not nervous about that
2)you are free to meet its invitation or not to go ,the decision is always on the hand of your mother
3)report it to the nearest police office if there is a sign that they will take your sisters and brothers in force
4)get other information from your neighbours or friends whether they received the same invatation or not and what are their reactions.
