Start by checking wih breeders who are memerd os the National breeed club - the AKC recognized breed club:

Choose the closest one. Thye may know of a good reliable breeder in your area.
DO NOT GO TO SOME BACKYARD BREEDER
They do not do all the health screening for hereditary problems or care what the quality of the dogs are - they just want to ell a puppy

They even have escapees from puppy mills - the once who advertise in newspapers and locally and are horrible to their dogs.

go to petsunlimited.com and search for your breed of choice and your state.....also search on-line for puppies for sale, there should be a few other sites you can visit too....Good Luck.

dunno...but please if you really do love and care for animals....do not breed or buy while shelter pets die....=( 3-4 million die yearly go to your local shelter to see first hand and ask? they also have pure breed rescue leagues they have young and old ... go to petfinder.com good luck
