i used the windows uninstall software off the control panel
my computer locked up with explorer 7---i was in a bind. had to reboot several times---finally got to a place where i could access the control panel and uninstall explorer 7.
i'm getting to the point where if i've got something that works, they can keep the friggin 'upgrades'
half the time the upgrades don't work and the other half of the time i'm cruising websites looking for patches and new drivers to make the damn thing work

You need to delete it from the ad/remove list first. and then either turn back the system or go to the Internet explorer and reinstall version 6.

I did the same thing! So many problems with the first of the Beta versions. I am used to the present version but it took awhile.
Go back to a former time on the computer with your "SYSTEM RESTORE".

try to restore your system to the time right before installing IE6, if that does not work then try to run the installation CD for IE 6 that came with your computer, good luck

Pray really hard to the BitGods and they may byte you hard in the butt.
If so, you are bless and the BitGods will is done.
