in a word no
It is not possible genetically or physically, Or haven't you ever noticed the difference in size down there.
A cat has 19 pairs of chromosomes, and a dog has 39 pairs. It is only when the chromosomes match up that they can mate successfully. For instance both a horse and a donkey have 32 pair so the result is a Mule

Not with each other, their sperm and eggs are not compatible. There is no way interspecies sex can ever result in a birth of some sort of creature.
For example human and apes cannot breed together.
Even though domestic cats are bread with other types of cat they are very close species, I don't believe its possible for a tiger and a domestic cat to produce an offspring. Even if they tried to create it in a lab.
But it sure would eb funny if it did work, it could be called a 'dat' because 'cog' and 'dot' are already taken. And 'cag' sounds dumb :)

Someone else asked this same question today....the answer is no, ask yourself this, can a horse and elephant breed, no.....have you seen a cat/dog running around yet...I know I haven't. Maybe a dog will try to breed with a cat or visa versa, but nothing will happen, no babies will be produced, it's just not possible.

Yes it is possible for a cat and a dog to breed. However they can not breed with each other. A cat can breed with a cat and a dog with a dog. Nick Jr. CatDog is not real.
