Headaches can spoil your day and many a times, the chronic headaches can last for more than a week. Chronic headaches are the headaches that cannot be treated with the usual, over the counter treatments. They are so serious that you are unable to do your normal activities. There are stronger medicines available in the market to treat this problem. But they can have serious side effects. Opting for natural treatments is the best solution.
Prevention is better than cure. Find out the causes of your headaches. Certain stressors like bright lights, loud noises or differences in air pressure can cause the headache. Determining and avoiding the cause of your headache, can easily solve the problem. For headaches due to air pressure, treat yourself with an allergy medication. This will adjust the pressure within the sinuses and ease the headache due to weather.
If you are addicted to a certain substance like caffeine that you drink at a specific time, you can have a headache if you avoid the beverage. If you stay away from it, the headache will vanish after a week when the withdrawal process stops.

Many people think that getting headaches is just a natural part of life. Not so! There are causes, and thankfully, cures for headaches, even bad ones like migraines. Look into seeing a reputable Chiropractor as many headaches stim from misalignment in the cervical spine area. And if that doesn't do the trick, you can also see an acupuncturist. Good luck!

The best way to get rid of a headache is some kind of pain reliever. I prefer Aleve, it seems to work better. If the pain is above the eyes and nose area it is probably a sinus problem so taking something for your sinuses will help relieve the pressure and then relieve the headache. You could try putting a warm cloth across the area that aches and try going to sleep or relaxing because it could be a tension or stress headache. Hope these ideas help.

I often have a migraine. A very bad headache at times as well, with one side of my head very heavy and pounding. I suggest the best way is to rest and close your eyes to take a short nap, not thinking about anything. Let your brain relax itself for awhile.
It works for me, so I hope it works for you too.

Believe it or not; if you cut an apple and rub it across your forehead it will take away the pain.
Also, be sure to drink plenty of water. Usually headaches are a sign of dehydration.

For starters get off your computer!!!! :> lol
I get bad tension headaches. I see a chiropractor once every 4 weeks and I walk out of there feeling like a new women.
But it could be from low blood sugar, high blood pressure, lack of caffeine, kids, family, spouses or lack there of. If they persist maybe you should see a doctor.
