Considering that worldwide levels continue to rachet up, and Americans, like any other members of a Democracy want to feel safe before anything else (see the Maslow hierarchy), doesnt it seem most likely they will vote in a war hawk that promises tuffer measures against Islamists?
Personally, I wont vote for anyone who doesnt promise on his mothers grave to end dependance of Islamic oil.

i hope the next president uses a "scorched earth" policy. turn the vast deserts of saudi arabia into a fused glass parking lot.

Maybe, just maybe, we will be lucky enough to elect a guy who will treat the Islamic people as the American Revolutionist would have liked to have been treated - you know, as grown up, rational people who have a legitimate way of life and a right to self govern themselves.
I think it would be very wise for us to end dependance on Islamic Oil - and frankly it would have to be a very strong President and Congress and Senate that would ignore big oil's money and campaign donations and go with some of the really viable options that are available today.

I think the next president will suffer a great deal trying to balance freedom with fanaticism.
To internect an iota of humor, if the next president's mother isn't dead, you may not get to vote.

God help us if it is a liberal. I wouldn't mind a conservative democrat like Leiberman. Liberals would have us convert to Islam to appease the terrorists. Then, they would offer a piece of America for peace.

i asked a similar question. I conclude that the next president will be black, ergo we will face apocalypse. (see the bible). If Mabela becomes the next president. He will anger North Korea, who is allies with Iran, then they will nuke us and we will nuke them shortly after. Then the end of the world.
