Well, I would have to ask which country is being talked about here in the passage. If it is Israel then I would have to let you know of the up and coming war that will happen - ALL NATIONS will go to war against Israel and at that point God will destroy all Nations and bring Israel up from the ashes to be redeemed before God.
If this is a passage about one of the Arab nations I would really wonder why they think they are going to survive an up and coming war against Jesus Christ.
Look back on history and find out who the father of the Arab states are and it will plainly tell you it is Ishmael and the Father of Israel is Isaac. They are both blessed by God, but Isaac gains more favor than Ishmael.

You must keep in your mind that in holy Qur'an,the statement about the future were spoken by Allah to Muhammad pbuh as His messenger.But in the holy book Allah only let know the future very very few knowledge..The whole knowledges of future life still in the hand of Allah the omni know..such as about heaven and hell,revelation and resurrection day etc.But Muhammad pbuh told us that after his death Islam,Christian and Jews will be broken into 73,72 and 70 sects Now it has been realized.They are many sects in our big religions.Speaking seventy in arabic tradition is meant many.In hadith muhammad pbuh told us that before the collapsed universe occured,it will be an era of chaos every where. people do not know how to pray,refuse religion,become atheist,no good theologist,no good government.After that,will emerge a best leader called Imam Mahdi .He will bring the people to a prosperity and full justice..40 years before this universe will be collapsed,will come again to this earth Yesus and he will give warnings to his followers that the right path is converting their religion to Islam.
