My last questions got much of the cliche's that float around in that culture, so this is the follow up.
One Muslim said "when you cause no offenses..." and another said said when there is "justice". Now, people of some fair level fo education know very well that what is "just" and what is an "offense" is so vague and so impossibly broad and impossible to define from person to person, much less culture to culture, that there is no way to avoid appearing injust of offensive. Simply no possible way.
So as a practical matter, if you were trying to draft a policy to be certain to avoid allll the delicate sensiblities of Islamists, making sure to address allll the different concerns of the different sects that hold the threat of Islamic terror over your head, wouldnt you finally arrrive to a place where you throw you hands up and decide to either convert of drop nukes?
Again, as a practical matter, if you were a politician whose only concern was making peaceful and prudent policy.

i don't even think that is enough for these wacky followers of the korny koran!
don't forget salman rushdie, author of the satanic verses--a book that treated islam as less than a holy subject. he was under a fatwah of death for years after that.
i just don't think there's any pleasing these goofball practicers of the "religion of peace".

As a politician would you want to force people into doing something that was not set out in the Constitution? The government cannot force any religion onto any citizen of the United States. The government is loaned power from the voters in order to operate the country for the good of all Americans.
Therefore, in having a choice, the overall choice would be that you or any other entity cannot force a faith upon those who do not believe - if that happens it would be a dictatorship and that is not how the country is run.

Unless you change the Constitution,America was founded on freedom of religion. Our Founding Fathers deliberately avoided setting up a state religion as England had the Anglican Church.Thank heaven for their wisdom.

"either convert of drop nukes"
Yes, but not in the way you think. Drop nukes on yourselves and in so doing, rid the world of the septic tank that is the United States. Surprise! I'm a Christian from The West.

yes when there is justice -- and we dont want anyone and everyone to join Islam. Islam is for those who truly deserve it and Islam is not for everyone.

no that would just offend them; they'll see US as a Muslim state threatening their culture and their domination over the Muslim world. Then it would be "holy war upon the new Muslims"! Seriously the US should leave the Muslim alone and the Muslim should leave the US alone. Then we can all be Canadians; we only worry about hockey and dither about peacekeeping missions.

The Muslums are a little to ready to kill each other for my taste. The Christians, on the other hand, don't get a kick out of killing Christians, but American's do seem to like killing people of color and poor people. Did you notice those traits?

Although you sound ostentatiously "academic" in your questions, you are basing your arguments on the moral divide so much cherished by Neocons: Good Vs Bad; freedom Vs Oppression; "our values Vs their values etc.

oh hey! wait a minute! the Fundy Evangelicals already have their theocratic flag planted on the American territory. it's THEIR religious dogma ALL Americans must eventually bow to. it's THEIR sensitivities ALL must walk on egg shells so as to not offend with blasphemous things such as science in science class. don't be inviting Islam here as a rival theocracy. what are you trying to do? start a holy war?

If your intent is to truly make peace, then stop persecuting a group of people because of their faith. Problem solved.
