What was the procedure like? Did it get rid of your kidney stones? What were the side effects? Would you recommend it to others? I need to have another litho or a uteroscopy done soon and need some advice to decide which one to have. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I've never had one myself, but I have seen several done for various indications. (Some years ago I spent 3 months doing urology as a junior doctor on the wards).

It seemed comfortable enough - the patients never complained, and had usually been given a premedication at very least - enough to keep them happily woozy and to not remember the procedure.

I have seen a stent insertion, a calculus pushed back into the renal pelvis to then have USWL (litho) and a basket snare. I understand it is also possible to use a tool to break up a stone in the ureter.

If your stone is in your kidney - then have the lithotrypsy.

If the stone is in the ureter then you should probably have the ureteroscopy.

I have had this a few occasions and have got pregnant four one-of-a-kind occasions. I significantly doubt there's so much harm, given that you bought immediate care. Even if considered one of your fallopian tubes fully scarred close, the opposite one is also entirely high-quality and functioning. I could no longer fear approximately in any respect.
