Geeesh. Lawd almighty.

Yea sure, an God appointed (on the down low) eternal tormentor is just waiting to make an eternity of misery for us, cause we are all so special and God's justice calls for an eternity of torment, and no less.

When we outgrow our need for superstition.

Two points that need to be made.
1) Humanity will be finally rid of the myth of Satan WHEN he BECOMES A MYTH. This will be never as truth will always be truth and never become myth.

2) Satan will be tormented in Hell just like all those who reject God and His salvation made available through Jesus. Hell is separation from God and all that He is. This will be torment, real torment.

Repent and be saved and escape the torment of hell.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Satan is not a myth.
He is not an appointed tormentor.
He is real and an enemy of the true christian.
And his detainment in the abyss is soon and his death will be at the end of the millennium reign.

The "myth" will be gone when Satan is revealed and everyone will then know that he is real. That is when we will be rid of your myth. The only problem, for you and others like you, is that it will be too late for you to admit you've been wrong about GOD for all these years. Did you know YOU were mentioned in the Bible? Yep, by the name of scoffer.

First off we have to get rid of people who are dumb enough to believe that something that is created dos not need a creator and when those people die off and meet this myth called satan it will be to late ,Always amazes me how people like you can actually think you don't have a appointment with death

When they start to take responsibility for their own actions instead of making the excuse that "the Devil made me do it."
Satan did exist, but he was defeated by Christ at the time of his Earthly incarnation and holds no power over us any more, neither do the devil and Lucifer.
I agree that hell is a myth created by priests of old to keep their power over people. "If you don't do what I say, you'll burn in hell."
Can you imagine a loving father treating his children like that?

Humanity will finally get rid of satan when Jesus returns to rule the world. Unfortunately...you will not be available unless you do some digging and stop taking some old farts spiritually illiterate take (Darwin and probably some other old fart you are co-dependent with).....You probably don't realize satan is satan because you've lived with him for so long, he's become familiar....(look under your bed tonight!!!)

The devil is mentioned in the Bible a number of times. Jesus cast out a demon from a person and it went into some pigs. The devil tempted Jesus. He is in the world today fooling people with false religions, suicides, abortions, stealing, pornography, you just name it. Have you noticed that when you take Jesus out of the situation, you will ALWAYS have problems.Just read the book "My 23 minutes in hell" it is a real eye opener.

You should meet my estranged husband! Then you may reconsider. Sorry about that - couldn't help myself.

I do not believe in Satan.

For what I know God loves me. I believe in the power of prayer.

God bless you!
