For you what is that recipe/food/desert that even if all else fails, it's always present on the dinner table? (Apart from the turkey of course) :)

There are many traditional recipes for this occasion:
As a standby I like casseroles.
But don't be pessimistic, your turkey with homemade stuffing will be perfect.
Don't forget the Pumpkin Pie.

Green beans and mushroom soup, Waldorf salad, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, wild rice stuffing, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls... Then usually pumpkin pie with homemade whipped cream and then some sort of other pie or desert because half my family will not touch pumpkin pie.

Tasteofhome.com is my favorite website for recipes. I have NEVER been disappointed with a recipe that I have gotten from there.

We may have turkey or roast beef or pork roast.......no matter what meat we have, we have to have cornbread dressing. I could probably have just the dressing and everyone would be happy.........of course that would never happen. Also I have to have yams in some form or another. Baked yams, candied yams or sweet potato casserole.
Every year we have the meat, cornbread dressing, yams, creamed potatoes, carrot, apple and raisin salad, homemade yeast rolls, cranberry sauce and sweet potato pie.
I thank God that we are blessed. God bless you also.

I don't care about the turkey. But we have to have my homemade stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, and my husband's green bean casserole.

I could have pizza or pasta for the main course, but gotta have those other three.
