would any of the christians believe it was him? because he's suppose to take all the christians away to heaven when he comes, according the the christian bible... but what if he doesn't? What if he just says hi and shakes people's hands... Maybe some healings here and there, and then leaves...
my point is that the hebrews didn't believe that jesus was the messiah because he didn't fulfill his prophesy of freeing the jews, and many other things the hebrew bible said he would do.... So would christians believe him or would they do the same thing that the Jews did??
please give me a thumbs up or down if you can and answer the questions, i'm really curious to see what people would do.

ok for the guy named "serious" who left me a comment, i've gone to temples, and read the torah as well, That's pretty much what i said except that you can't be so sure about him not having healing powers...for all you know he could have healed. I can also say that I've gone to a church and they told me that he did have healing powers... not trying to be a dick, but come on...
I'm agnostic by the way and i personally think that the agnostics would probably believe in him more than most people, because lots of religious people are too stuborn. (NOT ALL OK!)

I think (like last time) only a select few will recognise him. The majority of the population will not believe him. We will think he has some kind of mental illness and he will be thrown into a mental hospital. However some of the people who do believe him, may form some kind of secret society and try to break him out of the mental hospital.
But if he was to proove that he really is jesus he would have to perform some seriously extravagant miracles, because our society today wouldn't be happy with just turning water into wine (we would think that he just used some kind of chemical) or walking on water (he may be walking on a submarine?).

When Jesus originally came, He fulfilled all of the prophecies for the Messiah. Since He already did that, I can feel confident that He will once again fulfill the prophecies for His second coming, which are in the Bible. We know what to expect because it's in the Bible. The thing is, the Jews thought that their Messiah would literally free them from the Romans, and they didn't realize that their freedom would be from their sins. But it's simpler this time - Jesus will descend from Heaven with a shout, like lightning from the east, and everyone will see Him. There isn't much to misconstrue there. I hope I spelled misconstrue correctly. :o)

Well, who will be saved and go to Heaven? Not everyone will go because most people will be decieved into thinking lucifer is the messiah. For he will perform great miracles and decieve the world into thinking he (satan) is the savior. At that point we as christians will have to make a choice to either follow lucifer OR to turn away from the great liar.
You should have an understanding that 144,000 Jews WILL miss the first death. Most of the Christians if not all of them WILL die and feel the pain of death upon them. Of those who die in the first death some will go to heaven and others will have to face the second death and before that time we will be given many chances to turn to God and follow Him.
The Jewish question - some Jewish people do not understand how one man could ever take all the sins of the world upon His shoulders and therefore free everyone from the bondage of satan. Essentially every believer in Jesus is saved and will go to Heaven - it is those who cannot understand the grace of God - will have to face the judgement of attempting to follow the 613 laws that are set forth in the Old Testament. Remember Jesus completed the task at hand so that we are not burdened by those laws of God.

The Russian writer, Feodor Dostoevsky, once wrote a tale of Jesus returning, Jesus was arrested by the Inquisition and told that he had done his part, the Church could take it from there, His presence was no longer required. Does anyone believe that a Jimmy Swaggert or an Oral Roberts would give up his mansions, cars, luxury lifestyle, and money just to follow Jesus and live as He did? Would the Catholic Church hierarchy? As a Pagan I would have to be convinced, but I'm open minded, if he could answer my questions and resolve my doubts, I would follow him.

I want to start by saying that I have seen this question before with the same misguided details.
First, Jesus, a Jewish rabbi (claimed to be the Jewish Messiah), ministers to Israel (in the case the tribes of Judah and Benjamin -- Jews). He was not interested in any non Jews. He asked his disciples to teach all nations. [See Gospels for details about Jesus life, death and resurrection.]
Second, apostles (messengers) went out to teach all nations, not to convert everyone. Their job (and every Christians' today) is to teach about how God kept his promise, about Jesus life and death by the Romans at the request of the Jews, and about how God raised Jesus from the dead. Moreover, about holy spirit.
Now to basics: Everything you know about God was spoken by the prophets as documented in the bible. What you know (reveal knowledge) is only in the bible (book).
We know for example, God is spirit (wind). We worship God in spirit and in truth. We know that Jesus was born and was executed by the Romans at the request of the Jews. We know that God raised Jesus from the dead and that Jesus will return (in glory).
Every disciple Jesus asked to teach the Christian message was a Jew. It was Paul (also a Jew) who preached to the Gentiles (non Jews). So your statement about the Hebrews not accepting Jesus as the Jewish messiah is incorrect. If you read Acts and the Epistles, you will see that Jews were given the message first and then the gentiles. Christianity ceased to be a part of Judaism when the 613 commandments were no longer followed. [Please note: Jesus followed every one of the 613 commandments.]
As for Jesus being a pop star or a politician on his return is not supported by any biblical verse. If you had read the book, you would have seen: God, not man, judges. From you remarks, you are quick to judge what is not in your authority.
If you want to find out about Jesus return, search the pages of your bible. Don't make up situation that are not only foolish but immature.
I will leave you with two verses: Acts 1:7 and 1 Cor 10:23-24. I would you suggest that you try understanding those verses before moving on the other Christian concepts.
Note: If Jesus was an American Messiah, he would be talking about non materialistic issues, and he would not be success in America. He would have a small number who believed him.

He has come nearly 2 centuries ago, and regretfully most of Christians didn't know. It is exactly the case of the Jews at His first advent. And the same deadly sin humanity repeatedly committed throughout history. The most important reason is that the teachings of a Divine Messenger of God are too sublime to understand, so they only recognize and revere Him centuries afterwards.

I think you have a very good point. Most likely, people won't recognize him when he comes, just as he was not recognized the first time around. Jesus himself made it clear that he was not the kind of Messiah the people were expecting. Maybe it will be the same the second time, or maybe not. INteresting idea.

I am a Christian and believe he will come down some day. IN the Bible is says that when we see Him, we will know it is Him. But, what if I don't. Does that mean I don't follow or know him enough.
I would believe it was him and I would follow him but I'm not sure if I would know exactly if it was Him. But, I'll try. lol.

Umm...the Jews don't not believe in Jesus because he didn't fulfill things he said he would, like freeing the Jews. They don't believe in him because he didn't (in the Jewish religion) preform any miracles and was not but an ordinary man.

The Jews also thought he was a blasphemer because he outright proclaimed diety, which was something that was absolutely unacceptable during their time.
That's a tough question. I believe in Jesus and I *hope* that if I saw him, I'd believe it! It's scary to think that I wouldn't!
