Yes we are Christians. We believe in the very same Jesus that any other Christian believes in. You know, the one in the New Testament. We read the very same bible any other Christian does. Our only difference is that we believe we have been, through our prophets, the benefactors of divine instruction beyond what other Christians have received. Hence our Book of Mormon. It does not replace the bible in our world, rather it is a supplemental Testament to the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. We celebrate the very same Christmas, and Easter just like any other Christian. Our only reservation to the Bible is we believe it to be the word of GOD so far as it has been translated correctly down through the ages. If you want to do a little on line studying, go to lds.org, and look up the beliefs page, and you can get the whole story

I have several Mormon friends and do believe that they are Christian, because they do believe in Christ. However, I believe they are very misguided (as are many in other religions as well). I told one friend that we have many of the same beliefs up to the whole Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon issue. I told this friend that if I accepted Smith as a prophet, I would have to accept Mohamad as well. They are much more Christ-like than most so-called Christians that I know, but again misguided on this whole Joseph Smith with the magical glasses thing. Since their prophet can change their doctorine at any time he sees fit, we should pray that he see the truth. My two cents.

On the contrary, Mormons are not misguided, but instead are guided by a living prophet. And the prophet does not change doctrine as he sees fit, but acts and speaks based on revelation from God.
People will say that Mormons aren't Christians because they believe that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Just to show you one example, here's a scripture from the Book of Mormon: "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophesies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." You will see that the entire Book of Mormon teaches about Christ.
Go to a Mormon church and you will see paintings of Christ. You will hear sermons about Christ. The sacrament is administered in the name of Christ. Prayers are said in the name of Christ.
Mormon-haters will all say that Mormons are not Christians. I say, look at all the evidence and you will come to the conclusion that they are.

Depends on what you define as a Christian. If you define a Christian as someone who believes in the Bible, and that Jesus Christ is our savior and died on the cross for us, then yes Mormons are Christians.

They are a religious sect that grew out of Christianity but contrary to what they would have you believe they are not true Christians. First of all, there is the Book of Mormon which they preach and read out of almost to the complete exclusion of the Bible. Do not be deceived,

To me they are more Christian that the ones who put them down. They walk the walk. They take care of each other and others who don't believe. But who am I to say what is Christian as I'm not one.

We are 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints'. Christ's original church, restored in these latter days as for told by prophets of old, with all the keys of the priesthood. Christ stands at the head of the church and personally presides over it through modern day prophets just as in ancient times. Does that qualify us as being Christians?

NO!
Define "Christian" and ask a Mormon to define "Christian" too. Ask a Mormon who Jesus Christ is and what His relationship to them is. You will see that the views are divergent.
Jesus said that in the last days many will come and say "here is the Christ" Joe Smith was one of these people.
