Will Jihad end religion itself?

Question

I cant tell you how many people I hear on a daily basis that are sick of religion as a whole. Fairly or unfairly for those religions or believers not a part of Jihad the fact remains.

Has the global violence of the self righteousness and pathetically ignorant Jihadists started something that will eventually end all religion?

I mean, you can smell the disdain for these wacko cavepeople, and no doubt, all religion is thrown into the lump.

The problem with religion is that it makes absolute claims that cannot be disproved. When a person comes to believe that their beliefs are absolutely true, and it is, in reality, impossible to prove them wrong, that person can no longer be reasoned with. At that point, there is no action that cannot be justified. The problem isn't a few "wacko cavepeople," it's that any religious person, with the right provocation, can become a "wacko caveperson." I don't think Jihad will bring an end to religion, I think religion will bring an end to all of us.

If there really is a God behind religion, jihad will definitely not end it.

Even if religion were to be all a fraud, jihad probably would not end religion.

Religion gives people the courage and conviction to stand up to all the evil powers in the world, even empowering many to face violence and death in acts of Civil Disobedience. Ghandi and Martin Luther King based their philosophies for nonviolent political change on the teachings of Jesus Christ. So did the Enlightenment Christians who became convinced that they were called to make THIS world a better place, as well as informing people about the world to come: these people started Christian charities to care for poor, sick and orphans, and spear-headed the abolitionist movement.

This may be why there have been more Christians put to death in the last century than in all the other centuries since Christ. Not all, but a significant number of Christians are too savvy to have "1 peter 2:17" shoved down their throats by people who want to use religion cynically to gain worldly power and wealth for themselves. Christianity is basically a religion about freedom and the infinite worth of the individual person. That's why Communists and other authoritarians have tried so hard to eliminate religion. It threatens the hold they have on people's hearts and souls.

The word religion only means remembering(what your forefathers taught you) It is ambitious people who distort Biblical teachings that are the problem.
Educated people know that this Jihad is family squabble. Ishmael's descendants deem themselves as in titled to an inheritance from Abraham's wealth because he was born first.

I think Jihadis and terrorists and all that crap will just make ppl hate Islam. Because you dont see Jewish ppl running into malls amd restaurants blowing themselves up, you dont see Hindus flying planes into building, You dont see christians running round cutting off reporters heads... o and for the above girls comments: Jihad is An individual's striving for spiritual self-perfection. Not all believers are saints.
Not all pupils are scholars.
Not all of haters of religion and all false believers can end religion.
Religion is the highest education for the human race from eternity to eternity. Some learners succeed, others fall as in all other fields of education.

Jihad is only to defense there land and religion. you can't expect to invade a land then expect there residents not to fight back. Religion gives people hope and so i think that religion will be forever

You don't understand the word jihad at all jihad have alot of meanings there is jihad on your self " to stop doing bad things "

I think jihad may make governments make religion illegal but that will make us even more determined.
Jihad will not end religion though, nothing can
