What is wrong with interracial dating and marriage?

My friend just broke up with her man because both their family didn't approve them! she's white and her boyfriend is black. i mean they were such a lovely couple!
I have some girlfriends who are quite racist. They just wouldn't want to date black men and chinese!

How could some people be so racist?

My mom is Japanese and my dad is American. they work like "Magic!". They just recently celebrated their 26th anniversary!
I've never dated any Japanese even i'm half. I dated an italian before and we loved like crazy!
I've dated many Americans but we are just OK.

I mean it doesn't matter what colors of our skin, hair and eyes are.., we all searching for love!

Beauty comes in many shapes, sizes and colors, doesn't it?

I agree with you totally. My parents taught me that color is beautiful and that the person inside counts and if they are of color that is also what makes them beautiful.

I dated a black man. I am still in love with him. I will always love him. I am 5'5'' and he is 6'5'' and you see how blonde I am. I think we made an amazing looking couple.
I think he is wonderful and his skin color is amazingly wonderful.

I don't understand raist people at all. I am glad your parents met each other and made a very beautiful you. Lets hope and pray that the world changes for the better when it come to color, size and shapes

I don't know what makes people racist. Perhaps it's the stereotypes they were raised with hearing, and even statistics in the news. Things like the fact the prison population is made up of mostly non-whites, so some people take that to mean that all, or at least the vast majority of non-whites must be low life crooks, who probably dropped out of school and don't have a future.

Although I'm not a huge fan of Tom Cruise, I do like a quote from him I once read regarding his children being of different races. He replied something like, "What race? We're the human race." Which is true. We are all the same species no matter what color we are, and we all have the same potential to succeed in life and be decent, law abiding citizens. The color of the skin does not determine how we live our lives, the individual does.

You answered your own question. There is nothing wrong with different nationalities interelating. However, bigotry, unfortunately is something that still exist. It is people like you who can help change that. Never be afraid to express your opinion. Even if it is not the popular one in that group. I try to limit my socializing with people who judge others by what they look like or where they come from or what they do for a living. I have over 300 hundred employees & 90 percent are classified by certain census beaureus as minority & in some cases double & triple minority (hispanic, single parent, female). Some are at minimum wage & some make $25. an hour. I know that they are all important to make our organization run smoothly. I hope I have given you what you wanted. We are all the same.

It is sadly a common part of this world to have racist people with the old ways of thinking even though our world is morphing into newer racial generations everyday. Alot of it comes out of fear, I know first hand because I do date interracially(or try anyhow) and have married interracially but nowadays...with the guys i'm interested in which are white, they come from families where "muddying up the waters" so to speak is taboo and it's sad cause i have a very accepting asian mom who married a black man who had an accepting family also....

I think there is nothing wrong with interracial dating. I personally have been in an interracial relationship and have been abuse as well as loved. I think that in today's society this is not looked upon as unacceptable but merely a may i said paradigm shift. YES people do look it's normal peolple like to be intrigue and that will never go away. The fact is we should date who we are attracted to and who gives us satisfaction. We shouldn't listen to what i call NEGVAMPS. those are people who are negative and are pesimists. Depends.
Probably the opposition to interracial couple calls for the historical background. For example, there are many international marriages between Americans and Japanese since the end of WW2. But most of them(more than 90%) occoured between American men and Japanese females. This would be an insult for most of Japanese men who probably oppose to international couples since many Japanese civilians were killed by US forces and were defeated. It is natural for them to think that winner took their women. Probably Japanese females who married American husbands would be "traitors". At the same time even now very few American women marry Japanese men because they are not supposed to.
This kind of things happens anywhere. That includes the couple between German men and French women. After the war, many French women who slept with German men were openly insulted.
In one sense, I understand why people oppose to interracial couples.

I agree with you 100% I've dated white men exclusively for the past 7years and I've gotten little sneaky looks from both black and white people..lol But that never bothered me. I date who I want without worrying if my friends approve or not. It's my life not theres.

I think you've answered the question yourself hun. It dont matter about colour, shape, size, whatever. Its just a shame that sum people dont see it that way. If your friends wanna be together then they should be. Its got nothing to do with anyone else. As long as they are happy it is no ones business

I agree 100%. I think that interracial relationships will only unite our country. You should not judge a person of their color, but of their personality. I am really glad that you are willing to date outside of your ethnic group. Our country should really look beyond the color obstacle. But remember, this is coming from a black guy:)

yea i've been in that situation before, its really hard when you come from families that are not used to the different races. just think how awkward it would be at family gatherings and if you had kids. when you're in love theres nothing you can do about it and some people just dont understand because they never been in the situation before.
