Buddhist Karman means one's intention or motovation when doing an action. If it is a good, helpful thing then it is good Karma, if the task they are doing is bad (very hard to believe) then it is considered bad karma.

If you do good karma then you will be able to reach enlightenment. Good karma is like a step towards true enlightenment. However, bad karma condems you to a second life on earth.

Souls are eternal. going thru cycles ,reincarnating, over and over, till hopefully the individual soul has learned enough to stay in heaven and not have to come back . karma is those experiences the soul has had in previous life's. those vibrations, those memory's, thoughts, feelings, etc, are still there around that soul. it is with meditation , and detachment from these experiences, that the soul can become detached enough to move on. then the soul can be illuminated to a point to where it will not need to experience life's experiences here in the physical world.and move on to more profitable and enlightening worlds of existence furthering the souls advance into the god worlds.Thats how a Buddist friend explained it to me .

Buddhism (also known as Buddha Dharma (Pali: Dhamma), "the teachings of the awakened one") is a dharmic, non-theistic religion, a way of life, a practical philosophy, and arguably a form of psychology. Buddhism focuses on the teachings of Gautama Buddha (Pali: Gotama Buddha), who was born in what is now called Nepal around the fifth century BCE[1] Buddhism spread throughout the Indian subcontinent in the five centuries following the Buddha's passing, and propagated into Central, Southeast, and East Asia over the next two millennia.

Karma is the Buddhist belief that whatever one does in his/her life denotes what their second life will be. Those who filled others lives with torment and strife will receive nothing but strife in their "second life" and also those who were kind will in turn be rewarded in their second life. Despite what many believe Karma does not happen on a moment by moment basis.

Something to be done away with. Contrary to western concepts of it, there's not 'good karma' and 'bad karma'. Any karma at all leads to the continuation of the cycle, and the whole point is to get out of the cycle entirely.

Karma is where you get what's coming to you-good or bad. Buddhists believe in reincarnation, so it is most likely the belief that your next life is the one that you earn in this one.

i would have to explain you in this term i think which is really the best way to put it:

think of karma like a bank account, with every "good"(good can be many things to many people, so as to not confuse you, lets just say fulfillment of duty) thing you do, it goes up one , for every bad deed you do it goes down one, in other words when you die, if you are "negative" in your bank account, the deeds which are bad remain with you(the taking of someones life, rape etc) and when u reincarnate whatever bad deeds you commit ur spirit will go through trials which u need to overcome, and elminate this "bad debt" with good deeds. The greater the bad deed the greater this debt increases, of course feel people realize that it is not GOD or ANGELS or other SPIRITS that force u to reincarnate, its acutally oneself that chooses to go through these trials, as the spirits ultimate goal is purification of the soul, much like jesus was when he came to earth, or buddha etc. then u ask , "what if i choose not to reincarnate and remain with these "bad debts" in the afterlife"? well then i have to say that the condition ur spirit will find itself in is not very good, in other words it will be "hell".

Every of our action will have a reaction. In other words, good deeds begets good returns while bad deeds begets bad returns.

The returns may come in this or your next lifetime.
