We have 4 children. We had two boys, and we decided to try once more for a girl. That third pregnancy resulted in boy/girl twins.
Our 1st 2 boys were 4-1/2 yrs apart. That's a bit too much space. The oldest is like an only child, and is often lonely because of that.
The twins were only 2 years younger than the middle one. That happened more quickly than we expected, and I was afraid the middle child would suffer from that, but as it turned out, the last three are very well-adjusted socially from sharing everything.

Two biological kids...a 12 yr. old girl and a 10 yr. old boy. I homeschool my daughter while my son, who has autism, goes to a specialized program. I also have an 18 yr. old that I got by choice. She is not adopted, but has become my child as much as the other two. Her Dad, a single father, is a good friend and when she moved in with him three years back, it just clicked. Her own mother is no longer in her life and was never stable even when she was around . Scarey thing is, everyone says we look and act just alike! Whoa...
I was pregnant this time last year with twins (unexpectedly), but lost them due to miscarriage. We had considered trying again as we had always wanted one more. But in the end, we decided two was fine. We were simply not ready for the chance of another autistic child, nor did we think it would be fair to our 12 yr old to go through that either. When the pregnancy happened, we were scared but happy, so would never say no if a baby came into our life, but we are not planning on anymore and are using birth control.

I have a 12 year old and a 2 year old with one on the way. I love having my kids so far apart. My son (12) loves his little sister just like we do, and I am hoping having a young sibling will help him think twice about having kids at a young age. I got to give him all the attn he needed and now have more time for my little one. However I am an only child and wish I had siblings close to my age to confide in or even just babysit. That is why I am now having another one.
There is good and bad to having both, (close together or far apart)

Biological daughter (24), Biological daughter (21), Biological daughter (16), Adopted daughter (6), Adopted son (6), Adopted daughter (almost 4), Adopted son (3), Foster son (18 months), Foster daughter (9 months). How many is too many? Depends on the person & the family. I was told MANY times though that if you already have given birth to 2 children that are the same sex odds are the 3rd will be the same sex again but your chances of havin the opposite sex increase with baby #4. I wasn't willing to take that chance! LOL Good luck!

I have two kids a 13 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. I want one more. You should have one more if you already have two. Because trust me, why would you wait longer when they're out of pampers and bottles and then you have to start all over again. As my kids theirs a big age difference and they don't get along. She's a teenager and she doesn't want her little brother snooping in her room. But, my son tells me to have another baby. So, I think you should try for one more.

I have a boy 28m and a girl 16m I think it is tough have babies so close but I think its good cause when they are older they will be close and I get everything over with all at once ei) sleepless nights diapers etc. but maybe if they were further apart the older could protect the younger maybe I would be more rested maybe maybe maybe I dont know know. For me this works you have to find what works for you, nobody onhere can tell you if you are ready or not.oh yeah I always imagine three twin girls and a younger boy about three years younger but daddy is gone now and I didnt get my twin grils so I dont see that happening

I have one daughter. I only wanted 1 child. My parents had three. There were two years between my brother and I. There were six years between my sister and I. My sister and I have never gotten along. My mother always prefered her. I told my mother when I was twelve that I would only have one child so that my child would never say that I loved one child more than another.
I was grounded in 7th grade for having one C on my report card. My sister in 8th grade was brought home by the police for drinking at a beer party with high school students. My mom laughed and she was not punished at all.

If you can support more children then have more.If your health is good that is. I have two grown son's and they are 18 months apart. My older brother and I are 13 month's apart and my younger brother and I are 19 months apart. I like being close in age to my brothers we all went through out teenage years together. My son are very close as well kids have more in common with brothers and sisters their age.

I have 3 sons, they are 6 1/2, 5,and 3. We would like to have one more. I am about 16 days late now so maybe this is it. It kinda scares me though. I had mine fairly close and wouldn't change it for anything. Good luck!!
