I understand that of course there are plenty of people eating it or there wouldn't be so many chains everywhere. However, I haven't eaten fast food since I was a sophomore in high school (10 years ago) when I used to eat chicken mcnuggets at lunch time.. and when I stopped I lost 15 pounds and my friends thought I was anorexic... and really I just stopped eating CRAP and have never gone back. There must be lots of people like me that do not eat fast food at all, right? Or if you do eat it, is it something you do for convenience, taste...... what could possibly make you want to eat that crap!!! :) kidding.. my boyfriend eats the stuff. i just feel like it's so gross. but i have my fair share of pizza and ice cream. LOL.

I agree. I don't see the craving to have "fast food". Although, on occasion, whether it be the end of a drunken night or a next day hang over, I will grab a greasy burger and fries at Carl's Jr. or maybe a bean burrito at taco bell. But by no means do I nor would I , want to consume my body with that crap while I am sober. ;)

** Oh and P.S.
I don't consider pizza to be unhealthy, in fact I had a slice for dinner tonight. Just depends on the toppings and the crust. And who couldn't live without ice cream?! How else would you and I get our calcium in take?......:)

Well, first of all, you have to understand that people aren't bringing these foods around you to make your life a living hell, they do it because they don't understand the severity of your problem, or they (your husband) has his own problems with food as well, which is, that he can't stop eating and buying junk food even though he clearly sees that it is hurting you! You need to see a therapist/physciatrist that specializes in eating/food disorders who can help you be around bad foods without going crazy with cravings and they can also help you with the mental/emotional aspect because, like drug or alcohol addictions, that's just what this is, a food addiction and if you don't get what you want, or if you see something you want but can't have it, you have a break down which is exactly what happens to other people with other addictions! Another thing that might help, research and find something that tastes sweet, that you really like, that is actually healthy and eat that everytime you have a craving, There are foods out there that are made for people dieting that look and taste sweet but are specially sweetened artifically and are actually healthy! OR, instead of quitting eating junk food cold turkey, wean yourself off slowly, or wean yourself to a stable amount! Give yourself a scheduele, allow yourself to eat a certain amount of sweet things a day, then every couple of days, then weekly, etc.... That does work often! As for your husband, tell him that he is not helping and you are getting worse and if he doesn't stop buying so much junk food, you are gonna start throwing it out when he buys it or at least tell him to hide it and not eat it when your are around! OR tell him if he doesn't stop, you will go and stay somewhere else where people respect your disorder and help you, not make it worse like he does and see how fast he stops, (Hopefully) Anyways, good Luck and I hope I helped

I hear yeah, i'm the same way, i use to eat it all the time, I havent ate it in about a year, and i eat healthy and i'm in the best shape i've ever been before. It makes such a difference when you don't eat that crap, you feel and look so much better. I'm with you on the pizza, I treat myself to that a couple times a month :) lol but i really think prople should just stay away from fast food completely.

Sadly many people do because it is cheaper than eating healthy. I know many people who do but I will not put such things into my body due to the wonderful knowledge we are blessed with in knowing how bad this is for the body. Weight gain is just merely scratching the surface of the perils of eating this stuff. What goes on in the inside is disastrous! I urge those who do eat this way to re-think of the harm that is going to come to the body many years later as a result of this.

I eat fast food around 6 times a year. Usually it's for convenience. When I go out to eat I usually eat at Asian restaurants (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese or Thai) or at ramen shops.

The thing that steered me away from fast foods was the trans fats.

You can get some healthy stuff from fast food resturants...with the fast paced lives that people lead now days it's much easier to grab food through a drive through...but not everything is bad...u can get a grilled chicken salad or a baked potato....etc....

Fast food is pretty gross i haven't eaten it for about 9 years now it makes you feel better when you quit eating it and you don't have to worry about anyone spiting in your food.

I eat at Taco Bell once in a while. I really try to cook at home, and eat well. However, sometimes I just get a craving for something really greasy that I don't have to cook or clean-up.

I think it's much more common for younger age groups.
I cannot remember the last time I had McDonalds.
But I see they have added to their menu with some healthier choices.
I do like Subway, but that is a fairly rare occasion for me too.
