Help I'm living in Auckland NZ with my German girlfriend who has never tasted the delights of a haggis, does anyone know where I can find one, somewhere in the north of New Zealand prefferably.

Ordering them may be your best (and I use the term loosely) bet:

http://www.kilts-n-stuff.com/Food_Products/haggis.html

-- or --

http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?

And for God's sake, don't tell her where you got the URL to order the stuff. I don't want to be named in some kind of lawsuit by your next of kin after she takes one bite and ax-murders you.

Edit:

Fivetoze, you are delightfully evil! :-)

find a high peak... and take a billyclub with you... haggis hae two legs on one side shorter than the other..it makes running up steep inclines much easier... you bag them coming down...theyre feisty creatures... small agile and ferocious...so beware...

which is why most folks get them at the butchers, or in your case, the internet... they've relaxed laws on transporting live haggis across borders... once the americans decided they werent terrorhaggis... linked to al qaeda..

i love haggis... it puts hair on your chest... (but you can get creams for it..)

seriously, my friend is visiting her mum and is flying into wellington beginning of december..if you want ill pop one in the bag... (this is England and were reknown for doing daft things)

email me.

you should be able to buy it at any butcher shop. Especially if they have their slaughterhouse on grounds
