There is a way but it will cost you. Try QuickTime Pro ($29.00). It converts home movies to video files compatible with iPod. PC World magazine has an article about the subject.

you can try a free program called isquint. it compresses videos to m4v. I don't know if has a download for windows, but it works great for squeezing videos like orange juice.
