they say inorder to have a boy you need to have sex once you have ovulated....the reason being is that the sperm determines the sex....boy sperm are very quick to make their way to the egg but have a short life span....where girl sperm are slower but live longer....so depending on her cylcle i would think if she is pretty regular that sex on day 14 16 18 20 would be your safest bet....
realistically though does the sex really matter......

There is no guaranteed way to "choose the sex" of a baby.
Although there are ways to influence the outcome, (don't listen to those foolish tricks like sex underwater). You are looking at changing the PH balance in the women and in the man.
As you know, it is the sperm that determines the sex. If you have the money, you can do artificial insemination at a fertility clinic, to ensure a boy, although it is fairly expensive and not covered under health insurance. The only "trick" to choose the sex is to change the PH balance with diet, you will want to make the sperm as acidic as possible, (by having the man eat meat, and other tough to process foods) while you want to make the woman as non acidic as possible, (by having her eat veggies, oats and other "easy" to process foods) This will make a boy more likely....hopefully.......

No. Even those who claim to have a trick can't prove any more than a 1% or so increase in the odds for a boy. Why bother for that "improvement?"

There is no trick that works short of harvesting some eggs and implanting a male embryo. To be honest, I don't think you should be having children if you can't enjoy and love and appreciate a darling girl as much as a precious boy. You don't live in China or India do you?

There is no "sure thing"...but there are old wives tales that some try. I heard that drinking caffeine before sex speeds up the sperm and can increase the chances of having a boy. It's probably completely unfounded, but we actually did it the night we conceived, and it was a boy.

Nope, it's 50/50 everytime, supposedly no matter what the genes are. There are some animal species that can thermoregulate... like, if the temp. of the egg is kept at 86 deg. or highr, its a girl, but it switches depending on the species and there's absolutely no evidence of this in humans.

Are you trying naturally? Or through invetro? You can "spin" the sperm and have it implanted. (boy and girl sperm are different weights, so when you spin it, the boys go one way and the girls go the other in the tube)
Also, the natural acids in a woman build up overnight and will usually kill the first sperm that arrive. The "boys" are usually the faster swimmers, so have sex at night.

You and your boyfriend are trying to have a baby boy?
I'd suggest you go to an addoption agency.... but don't simply call him you partner... call him your soul mate, and tell them that you are in a committed relationship... tell them that you went to San Francisco and got married before the state invalidated all those gay marriages.... but don't just call him your partner... it sounds too gay.
