wait fifteen minutes after he eats, then sit him on the pottie.
if he gets distracted. bribe him. tell him that if he goes pee pee , (or whatever u call it). your will give him a cookie or his favorite toy . the next time he is on the pottie, just sit him there and show him the cookie or the toy and smile.
good luck.
get to know his systems routine, that will make it a lot easier.

With mine we threw a potty party. Fill him up with lots of liquids, hang out on the potty, watch a movie in there...what ever to keep him entertained and on the potty till he goes. Once he does, make a really big deal of it. Lots of reinforcement goes a long ways

give him water, or otther drink, and wait for about 45 minutes, then take him to potty, only leave him there abot 2 o 3 minutes, but if he potties before the 5 minutes are up, take him every 30 minutes, but make sure its after you give him something to drink, you can potty train them in 1 day if you follow this .

I don't have an answer for #2 problems, but for #1, put some Cheerios in the toliet and tell him to aim and fire! Sounds crude, I know, but it really works.

use the stick and honey method:
(wel first just use "honey" until they know that its wrong to go in their diaper)
punish them when they dont go on the toilet and
give them nice rewards if they do.
it works with other things too
not just potty-training
