Would you say that if it's awkward when you first meet someone you like, then it's probaly not going to work?

Before I met my wife I used to struggle for things to talk about and get real nervous around women.I always thought it was just something that would pass but now I believe that if it's that hard then she's not the right one for you.Everything just fell into place with my wife, but anyway do you feel that way to?

In a way I agree with you completely... like if someone cannot come out of their shell with you... if they don't feel comfortable to expose who they are to you, then you are not right for them. If you were the right one, or maybe more importantly, if they were at that secure place in their development where they weren't afraid to be themselves, then they would be able to be comfortable around you. I think that it is a combination of the right people and the right timing in life. One can be there, while the other is lacking. It is possible in this vein that the right person can elevate a once reserved person to a more mature and secure state, and that can be wonderful.
