The Hindu's have always known this philosophy of freedom of action, for the reason that they had a perfect religion, a religion on which one aspect of God was characterized as human, and their various Deva's are nothing but various characteristics of human nature, each of them adored and worshipped.
In this way not only God, but the whole human nature in all its aspects was adorned and worshipped.
It is that which makes the Hindu religion perfect".

Take it from me......I am a hindu,
hinduism is not polytheistic, and foreigners have trouble understanding hinduism, coz they see it with a foreign eye....
hinduism, is very logically built and is very clear and very scientific...and if one says it lacks a uniting belief, its only coz they dont have even the basic knowledge about hinduism...
coz locals, know very vividly that there is one core, one thread that connects all the thoughts in hinduism....
All Hindus belive in one god....and that all the gods that they pray to are only different manifestations of "THE GOD"
I mean, even christ or allah or anyone is the manifestation of the same GOD...
just as all rivers merge finally into the ocean, so also the prayers you make to any god will finally reach the one god..
and, its silly someone here said, you have to be born into the hindu religion...
though it appears like that, its not true...
Hinduism doesnt have conversion , because , a hindu will ask you, what has changed? did you grow 4 hands and 6 feet when u converted? dont u have to eat food anymore? wont u die ?
Hindus belive that religion is search for truth....so if you search for truth, then you are a hindu....changing your name or clothes or culture or being born to hindus wont make you a hindu...
newtons law of gravitation is the same....right...you cant convert to it...its a law and it applies to all.....so truth is one...it applies to all, and thats why there is no conversion...
I can empatically say that...hinduism doest have contradictory beliefs....and immediately you can say are you crazy? there are many differences....yes its true...but a hindu doest feel confused or think that the beliefs are different...there is a backbone....a strong one...and every hindu knows this...
being a hindu, i understand that all those beliefs have a common ground....
there is unity in diversity in hinduism....its difficult for you to understand...by just "looking"...
well if you have any doubts you can ask me, i can answer your doubts and show that the beliefs are not contradictory...but they all add up and say the same thing....ultimately...

Hinduism has a uniting theory device that's theory in oneness of soul . Hinduism is the main progressed theory technique which recognises that each and every person has to take transport of area as in line along with his temparament. As there are various strategies of producing warmth aso there are various tips about a thank you to attain to the main suitable fact. The later western and center jap thoughts are for political advantageous factors because of the fact they suspect in destroying different"s faith. Hinduism is the main benevalent amd merciful and liberal Dharma. English language has no equivalent be conscious for dharma. The be conscious faith does no longer conceal the meaning of Dharma. each and every physique who realises that the god is one and each soul is destined to be one with the god the ideal soul and who does no longer have self belief in harming and denouncing faith , and who does no longer create a rat race for conversion of human beings is a hindu in concept.

It is not in fact the rituals or mythology or temples which keep hindus unite
It is the deep philosophy of hinduism that keeps all the hindu's soul one
Vedanta Philosophy in particular, tells us that the whole universe is God himself...there is nothing else. God has manifested as universe, living and non-living beings
That z why Hindu's do not reject other faiths.. and beleive all of them are pointing towards truth

What is said by truth_see... and raj_6c1 is true only hindu intellectuals who are interested in hinduism, otherwise hindusim is just a name that keeps them unite. If you ask belief and philosophy of their religion to 100 hundred hindus, its certain that you get hundred different answers. That's the reason, all hindus found only one ground to unite hindusim and that's hate against muslims. Hate is very powerful emotion to unite hindusim. As a result in last 60 years you see, plenty of massacre of muslims.

Strictly speaking, it isn't a religion. Like Buddhist, it's a way of life.

It's a polytheistic religion that you have to be born into, you can't convert. The uniting belief is in reincarnation and a caste system.
