No. You could even meet each other 1/2 way sometimes just to meet for lunch and talk or whatever. Then it is just a 45 minute drive ! Good Luck ! :)

It depends on how old you are and how long you have been seeing each other. I am two and a half hours from my boyfriend right now. He is still in college and I am working full time in our home town. We see each other for a weekend twice a month. It's hard, but we talk for about an hour almost every night and it's working well so far. My first condition was trust. Can I really trust this guy. We have known each other for a long time so I knew I could trust him, and that is probably why it is working.

Not at all. A lot of people only see their honeys on the weekend, no matter how close or far they live. My boyfriend went an hour away last year and we saw each other every couple of weeks, it made us really cherish the time we got to spend together. Now we are a half hour away and still only see each other on the weekends, but it works out just fine.

That depends on how old you two are, and how much commitment you both have to the relationship.
During my 8-month engagement to my husband, we lived 2000 miles apart. We wrote letters every day, and talked on the phone about twice a month. We were 20 & 22 years old; we had both been in relationships before with people who refused to commit. We knew that we were going to be together for our whole lives. The distance between us meant nothing except that we were lonesome for one another.
If you are very young, and you aren't sure about each other, you might have problems. But it sure won't hurt to give it a try. This will be the real test of your relationship.
Good luck !!

well, funny you should mention that. my boyfriend and i started out that way. he's from one city and me another. we met here where I'm from and most of his work is here, but on the weekends he would go home. just the weekends bothered me. i wanted a full time relationship though sometimes people say absence makes the heart grow fonder. i don't feel that way. a woman has needs just as a man does and to think of my man sleeping with another woman because i can't be there for him is impossible. have you ever thought of you guys moving to the other location.

Is 2000 miles too far apart for a relationship to work? I don't think so.

no distance is too far, it just adds difficulty. Nothing is too difficult, it is only a matter of will. If you want it to happen, it will be a difficult bull to ride, but you can stay on the whole 8 sec if you try.
Remember, it is not the spoon that bends, but only your mind.

Not at all. My husband lived in TN and I lived in LA when we met online. We corresponded and met back and forth for a year and then were married. Been married for a year and half now.

it isn't easy. at first it is ok becasue there is high motivation to see each other. Eventually you need to end it or one of you move. It would save time if you find out if the possibablilty f moving isn't there , then why bother

No, it's not too far...you'd just have to make the effort to see one another whenever possible...and communicate frequently in between visits....
