That depends on which Little Italy you are referring to. I grew up in Little Italy in the Bronx which many people consider the real Little Italy and there I would say the best restaurant is Dominick's on Arthur Avenue.

there is much better Italian food elsewhere than Little Italy. I'm sure there are one or two exceptions but everywhere I've eaten down there has been really disappointing, it's a tourist trap. Near Little Italy I much prefer Supper for one example:

That would be a great question if you asked it in the 1970s, these days, the restaurants in Little Italy, have poor quality food.

Chinatown has grown notably and is now encroaching on Little Italy. One runs accurate into the different. flow to Little Italy for the nutrition and over to Chinatown for the coolest deal searching.

None of the restaurants here are any good, nor are they worth your $$$$.
For amazing Italian food go to Lupa. (Mario Batali's place...he owns quite a few restaurants in Manhattan, Babbo is my fav!!)
Also, Felidia. (Lidia Bastianich) Superb cuisine!
