hmm...sounds like acne...yes the same ones you get on ur face. Go check it out with ur dr. Alternatively try this out....use a body scrub on the affected areas regularly to clear the clogged pores and use a tretinoin cream like Retin A. U should see improvements in a week or 2.

It depends on where exactly these red spots are on your ***? Some spots or bumps occur naturally do to the build up of sweat, oils, hormones and ingrown hairs... ewww I know! Those are all pore related bumps and not the same as a rash. Skin and pores are different in the err.. genital area as opposed to your face, but they still get infected, irritated, etc.
Do a google image search and see if you can find anything that compares to what yours look like. Hopefully you can find some more specific info.

Sorry to answer a question with a question? But...are you male/female? What do the spots look like? A rash? Pimples? Ingrown hairs? Small? Large?
Hard to answer without this info, but you can always check WebMD.com for good info.

It could be mulescum...(I think that's how you spell it). Its a childhood disease but has been showing up in adults lately due to poor hygiene you may have shared a towel with someone, got it if you work out in a gym, or touch a doorhandle and then you privates and it spread....Very common see your MD as it is treatable, but it can spread and it takes a few months to clear.

If you shave and its around that area then you may be okay.(Razor bumps o rash). But I think you should have it checked out anyway. There can still be problems without it being sexually transmitted
