The Bible's Book of Genesis (2:21, 22) says God created the first woman this way: “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam [the first man], and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in stead thereof. And the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman …”

Nope same number of ribs.But some peopel have fewer ribs or mroe ribs its reguardless of Gender its just a disorder i guess.

This question has been asked and answered before. The answer is no, both men and women have the exact same amount of ribs. This just points to one of many things in the Bible that make absolutely no sense at all.

ummm no male and famale skelintons have the same number of all bones. they are just different sizes.

people actually believe that one sex has fewer bones than the other. healthy specimens of both sexes have 206 bones in the body....

it is true that a very small percentage of humans do develop an extra rib but this is far from the norm. and in no way would validate the missing rib story from the bible.

Actually they do. It is a proven fact..count your ribs then count some of the opposite sex...Men have 1 less rib then women. God took one rid from Adam and gave it to Eve. Therefore girls have one less then boys.

No. Both have 12 pairs. The loss of ribs would not carry on to the next generation.

ever heard of floating ribs, the last 2 pairs of ribs in all creatures including homosapiens have floating ribs -- meaning they dont complete the entire ring until the Sternum (breast bone).
