How do you make a bun?

Question

Some girls make those really cute neat buns and I asked one of them how she did it and she said she used a sock... Could someone explain how she could use a sock to her hair, and how I can do it. Thanks.

to make a sock bun, first you need the following items. gel, sock, rubber band or something for hair how is the beginning of how to make it. put your hair in a pony tail. take the sock and tie it around where you tie the rubber band.take your hair and insert under your sock. put some gel so the sock won't show.

I'm not sure if this is what you are talking bout but i know how to do a messy bun. (no not with a sock tho)
you first put it in a ponytail then you take another ponytail holder and bunch up your hair (in the ponytail) and wrap the other holder around it. there now you have a cute messy bun that can be used for lots of occasions.

I don't know to do it with a sock...but you can make a bun by making a pony tail and then you twist the long tail around the band of the pony tail in circles and secure it with hairpins. It makes a real cute bun to do this with a braided ponytail.

With a sock.You take it and cut the closed end(toe part).Then you roll it over and keep rolling it until it ends up in a donut.Put your hair in a ponytail.Put the 'donut sock' over it.And wrap your hair around it until the sock is no longer visible.Secure it with a rubberband around the loose hair and wrap it around.Just try the first part and the rest will come to you as you go! Well i take ballet so have to make buns and my maybe the girl u asked is talking about a something like a net. an easy way i make my bun is put it in a nice ponytail and then i twirl it nd then twirl it around in circles, you cna use a net to make it stay perfect or jsut put another hair tie.

The only way "I" know how to make a bun is like this. You
take your hair like you're going to put it in a pony tail, except you start twisting it untill it's all twisted to the bottom, and then coil it around and around till you have it all wrapped up, then put bobby pins in it to make it stay. You can also braid it, put a small rubberband in at the bottom, then coil that till it is a bunn, then bobby pit it. Sorry, that's the only way I know. Good luck.

Use hairspray and shake you head upside down for volume. Then flip it over and twist into a bun> add hair tie

i dont know about the sock but first i tie my hair in a ponytail with a thin hair tie and then i twist the pony tail and wrap it around the thin hair tie and then tie it with whatever thickness hair tie you want
