I'm left handed and write with my arm curved right above the page. Has anyone succesfully taught themselves to write normally? I find it awakward and uncomfortable, especially when on field work trips/working as a waiter - but when I have tried to change it feels worse!

it's a shame you think you're not normal
as in all things -why change? you are YOU not a right handed person -don't try to be- just because most of them say so

When I was in the lower grades in school I switched hands back and forth equally. I had used my left hand the most, but my mother encouraged me to try to use my right hand more, until eventually it became my preferred hand. She felt it is a right handed world and I would be better off right handed. Now I think she was probably right. But it took a lot of practice and starting young to be able to successfully have mastered it.

I have tried to change. And if you try to do so, I would suggest relaxing your arm more. However, if you're more comfortable the other way, go with it. At least you won't get ink on you.
