if you know what i mean.. i dont like clipping them too close to the roots, but then pieces of hair fall out and it look really weird. please help! i have a bottle of frizz-fighting serum (thermasilk) and I'n not allowed to get any more styling products.

Try using hair wax, it's fairly cheap and comes in little tubs. You only need a very small amount. Style your hair as you usually do, use your fingertips to skim the top of the wax and then smooth the wax upwards over the bits that are wispy and fall out. That should help until your hair either grow out and it will add a bit of shine too.

I think you should just clip it upwards, I think its called a foe hawk.
That style looks really good on some people!
