Me and my girlfriend were walking down the hallway and I had my arm around her and all of a sudden my math teacher comes out of nowhere and pulls us apart and spazzes out on us and freaks out and I dont think there was anything wrong with that do you ??????? We are both in the 8th grade and 14 !!!

The action itself isn't really the problem. Teachers are pressured to monitor such things. According to you your math teacher may have over reacted to the "hug". But I am certain the "math teacher" has policy to back up their reprimand. These rules are actually there to protect you, not to harm you.

My opinion is: Apparently your school (and many schools) have policies regarding students behavior and contact. I don't think that it is wrong to make a comment to you about school policy. The manner in which a teacher may re-act may be more personal than it should be.

If you truly feel the scene was over done then you do have a right to go to the Principle for complaint and/or teacher/faculty discipline measures.

Be certain that the actions of the math teacher were over-wrought before you attempt to seek a ruling on the simplicity and/or innocence of the scenario you posed.

teachers have a problem with PDA and they have no problems expressing it. No, that is nothing beyond making out but like i said, teachers are strict

schools have to draw the line for physical contact between students at school to protect people from unwanted physical contact they have to have the same rules for everyone :)

I am sure there are rules in place about public displays of affection with 8th graders. I would have done the same.

i don't think its wrong at all.... if you only had your arm around her...nothing else....he souldn't had pulled you apart, i use to do that as well....

go ask you teacher why....then slap him
