Is “hippie” a prejudiced term, in your opinion?

Not a predjudiced term, but like any label it can be used in a derogatory manner that implies being a hippie is something bad.

Hippie is not prejudiced... if it were you'd have to see yuppie, hipster, punk, and bobo would have to be, you're not being prejudiced by classifying people. You should classify people, it's a good way to protect yourself, and don't take me as being racist, i'm an evolutionary psychology student, this is what i study.

I dont mind, they can call me whatever. I like to take it as a compliment though..like Hippy chicks think more from their hips

well it depends on what other people think I think yes it can be but I really don't think it matters hippie could be thier way of putting themselves out there and they might be offened but whatever I think yes and no how about that

no its just a label, my dad openly says he was a hippie
its kinda like goth or punk or ghetto or any other label in a way

No - unless you're using it that way (and I'm guessing you don't mean it that way or you'd say). Anything can be derogatory if you mean it that way and your voice shows it.
