Wow. Good luck. If you are having it laproscopically you will have a quicker and l ess painful recovery. There is a smaller weight loss with this type of surgery. The open Gastric bypass isn't easy. You will have pain and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Yes you get medicine, but you won't be popping up to you feet that night.
You will be expected to work through the pain. You will need to get up, walk, cough and deep breathe to prevent complications. Each day will be easier. Most importantly, you will need to go back to eating very slowly and small amounts.
Best wishes to you. It's a courageous decision, but one with a n outcome that can only make you healthier and happier.

Weight loss surgery-like gastric bypass /lap band surgery / stomach stapling and gastrectomy have become very common and very safe now. My cousin got her Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in India. She has lost more than 65 lbs in 5 months and is very happy with the results. The price for obesity surgery is very less in India. My cousin just paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America. She got her surgery from a company called Forerunners Healthcare.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines. I have read a lot of their patient stories also. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that your Obesity surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Talk to some people that have had it before. This might help you feel better about it. I have never had this procedure done so I have no idea. They probably have some sites on the internet or some chat rooms.
~ GOOD LUCK : )

I am praying for you to have it all go well....and that it will go smoothly, with little pain. That God will send His angles to be there with you....and that you will know.
That peace will come into you....and it will not give you any form of concern, far beyond what you can handle.
God Bless and all the best.
