It's totally normal. It's just the natural seperation of the liquid and solids. You smelled it, which you get a thumbs up for. Some people wont even do that. Hope you enjoyed it!

it's completely normal -- just check the expiration date.
This is the natural separation that occurs with yogurt when it settles. You probably purchased a brand that has less preservatives in it -- this is sometimes added to prevent the separation.
Just stir it up and enjoy.

You shouldn't get sick from the yogurt. It is a fairly common thing.

no thats fine, it happens because of the active yogurt cultures they put in yogurt. when inactive, it just goes to liquid. no big deal, it happens to all yogurt. just drain it, unless you like watery yogurt

No, it's fine, just stir it in. It's more obvious with some brands or kinds than others. Same thing happens with sour cream.

No, it's normal, you won't get sick. It's the natural separation of milk products... sour cream does it too, so does cottage cream.
