Ok nonbelievers.

Cant we just get along? Just because we have different beliefs doesnt mean we have to be enemies. If we accept eachothers differences, then I bet we'll have more friends than enemies. Its better to have a variety of friends then having ALL of them the same. That way, each of them are interesting in their own special way.

And sorry, I'll stop calling you nonbelievers.

So how bout it?

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Matt 5:10Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Personally, I'd rather nonbelievers continue to persecute me.

Amen, halfadan. A little P.S. though. Per the Apostle Paul, we are to try to get along peacefully with those around us. Doesn't mean we have to compromise. But try to remain peaceful through the process. We must not lose our love even though the other person is totally wrong. As my minister once said, sinners do what sinners do, they sin. You have to feel sorry for them as they don't have the Spirit of God in them to open their eyes and that is sad. It is a gift. Those of us that can "see" should be very grateful and feel compassion for the lost. They have a rough road ahead of them. The bible says "God is angry with the wicked every day". That would scare me!

most of the people atheists on here who talk smack have plenty of Christian friends. But it's not often you get a forum where you can air views like this without it leading to fights etc, so some people get carried away.

When atheists post stuff like 'Would Jesus wear Prada?', they are partly just having a laugh (granted a bit immature), but they are also trying to get you to see things in another way.

So, sure, we can get along, but we come here for debate. I mean, even though it's yahoo 'answers', it's debate people are looking for.

So don't take it too personally. Someone might flame you a bit on here, but they would be a totally different person in 'real life'

I have no problem getting along with you, personally. I have no problem getting along with a lot of the believers on this site. There are many, however, who make it very very VERY difficult to get along with.

Sigh! if it could be that way...Some people from both camps do get along fine.
But then again some people from both camps wont, because they simply dont want to...

We can get along when we stop trying to get along and just 'be'. And forget about trying to change others.
