I just slapped a clarion drx5375 into a 1992 plymouth (using proper wiring harness etc). I was told that the backlight on the cd player wasn't funtional and it wasn't but that the unit played which it did....but NOW the backlight behind my dash....whatever it is that lights up my speedometer etc won't work either. All my warning lights (seatbelt etc) come on, but the main light won't. I put the factory delco back in and it still won't work...? Anyone know what I fried? Fuses look OK.

when you wired up your harness, are you sure you wired up the illumination wires correctly? i would go back to the harness and cap off the illumination wires (orange), just dont use them. if the lights worked before you installed the stereo, its probally a blown fuse.

test the fuses they can look ok and still be bad and you may have just knocked a dash plug loose
