I am dressing as St. Clare for the Costume Party at my job. My sons are going as St. Michael the Archangel and St. John the Apostle.

I saw this question addressed to Atheists and wanted to answer but did not want to be rude so I asked it myself for us.

For the record these are the costumes we are wearing for the Halloween party for the elderly at the nursing home where I work.

why turn something as fun as a little kid getting candy into such a religious thing. kids dressed as saints? that's going to get them made fun of at school.

On the weekend I'll be gathering with my circle and we'll have our little Samhain ritual. Nothing terribly dramatic, giving thanks for what we've harvested in our lives this year, etc.
On the actual day I'm looking forward to taking my son (age 5) and daughter (age 2) trick-o-treating. He's going as a fireman ("I don't want to be scary, I want to help people!") and she is going as a puppy. I'm going to be a scarecrow. You can see pix of my costume on my 360 page.
Thanks for asking and peace to you.

Nothing. I don't celebrate pagan holidays.
"There are several reasons why many Christians have nothing to do with it, even if all the while pop culture, peer pressure and the desire to follow the crowd demand otherwise. For these Christians, Halloween is not merely incompatible to Christian faith, but is a dark time of antichristian spirituality that should be shunned. It is our contention that God's Word is the only standard for Christian faith and practice, and it is from Holy Scripture that these reasons come forth. The Bible contains many admonitions for Christians to acknowledge His self-revelation there, to hold fast to His commands to glorify Him alone and to diligently avoid any casual or serious interaction with any pagan practice due to its' idolatrous and deceptive nature." I haven't decided if I'll take my son out, or do something else, else where, lol.... perhaps I'll find a white horse and dress as God appointed defender of the people, with the sword filled with God's Holy glory:) basically like an Angel:)

VERY few people on this site are atheists. Many are theists, deists, agnostics etc. Christians use the terms non-Christian and atheist synonymously I notice. For Halloween, I hope to have a Menage et Trois on my boat.

I usually don't dress up for Halloween anymore. If I did, I'd probably dress up as something scary.

You're dressing up as saints? Where's the fun in that?
Lol, your choice I suppose. Blessings be with you.
Me, I'm just handing out candy in my casual clothes.
