Do you think our military would even be in Iraq? 20 years ago, the USA hated the Communists. Before that, the Germans. Now we have been sold the idea of hating Muslims. We always have to have an "enemy" to be frightened of.

Well first of all most Christian dont hate anybody, we are taught to love the sinner and hate SIN itself, not the sinner.
If youre asking why Islam has fallen out of favor worldwide it is because they have a very militant extremist wing of it practicing terrorism around the globe. You may recall some of their handiwork on September 11th 2001 as well as the train bombings in the UK and Spain. The world is getting tired of Islam not even going so far as to denounce them much less take care of their own.
Why are we over in Iraq to begin with? Well Saddam Hussien wasnt being truthful about his weapons programs. We allowed him to stay in power in the 90's provided he worked with the UN and disarmed his chemical weapons so we deposed him and are now setting up a democracy over there where hopefully terrorism will not have a safe haven. Currently the Iraqi people are in control of their oil and that is what most of their economy and GDP are based on to begin with.
Yes we have been threatened in the past with communism and naziism, as was the rest of the world and now terrorism! Evil and tyranny will always be at our doorstep! The Q is, what are u gonna do about it? Cry? Or help?

Did you miss that thing on 9/11?? OPEC has rule over most of the oil and greed rules there, not us. If North Korea decides to attack its neighbors, do we just sit back and ignore it because it has nothing to do with us? If the terrorists could figure out how to topple the American government, they'd gladly do it (and we would all suffer, probably with our lives). Our government must decide when, where and how to make a stand for the greater benefit of all Americans. That doesn't mean they'll make all the right decisions. We are a free country only because our great military makes a stand for us at times when it is deemed necessary.

I think the World Trade Center accomplished the hate part. You would be surprised to learn how many people who backed the Palestinians before now hate Arabs in general.

The fact is as, a Christian, I don't like satan. satan is allah and allah is satan. Therefore, I'm not big on islam or any religion for that matter. I do pray for the muslims though, they need it, God has already defeated their master, yet they are still being deceived by him.
