Snoring is the result of a blockage in the airflow when breathing, typically durring sleep. Actually, think of a wistle. When air flows through a chamber and it causes friction, it will make a sound. The same happens in the throat. Snoring happens more in people who are overweight.

my 11 year old has snored for many years like sense she was 3. She is only 59 lbs. I don't know why she does it but it is loud and sometimes it is funny.
I would like her to stop.
