O.K WE USE SCIENCE TO EXPLAIN THE ORIGIN OF THE CREATION BUT THE THE CREATION ITSELF SO YOU CANNOT SAY SCIENCE CREATED THE UNIVERSE AND THE WORLD
SCIENCE IS THE THEORY - NOT THE "CREATOR"

Ok, this is for all you, "GO READ A TEXTBOOK!" people: Publishers now have to change all the textbooks about evolution because they finally admitted that evolution is just a theory and not facts. They now have to say that there is a "designer" but won't just come out and say GOD! sheesh!
Personally I'm glad that I'm able to have hope that after I die I will go to heaven and see all my family who were christians and that I have a God that loves me no matter what and is always there. Next time to try to insult christians, try reading the Bible...

You are asking for a logical impossibility. "Serious answers only" and "Darwin's theory is wacky" are logically inconsistent.
Darwin's theory, agumented with all of the work that has been done to build on it since then, is the best theory we have that explains the diversity of life on this planet.
Science has some good answers for everything on your list, with the big exception of why there was a Big Bang from which the Universe began. Religion claims to answer that by saying "God did it". I find that answer very unsatisfying because "God" is so poorly defined. I think the God defined by the Hebrew Bible is no more realistic than Zeus.
I'd rather admit that we don't yet know the answers to some of these big questions than to settle for answers that the people living 2500 years ago came up with.
Science has made a tremendous amount of progress the last few hundred years. It is idiotic to conclude that just because Science can't answer a question now that the question will never be answered.

Well I'm not an athiest but my answer to where all those things came from is, I don't know. They do come into existance by some sequence of events, quite possibly even a creator, but I have to ask you who or what created the creator? The big argument of creationism is that the universe is to complex to have just come into being as it is so there must have been a creator. However, if you ask the question of who created the creator and you take this creator's supposid creation's complexity then you would see that the creator is simply to complex to have just come into creation and so there must have been a creator of the creator and so on and so fourth. But where did all these creators come from? Who created the creators? Hmm I don't think this whole creator thing makes the complexity of the universe any less complex.

I believe that the origins of the universe are currently unknown, but that the leading scientific theories seem well-backed by evidence. I also see no reason to describe evolutionary theory as "wacky."
You are being very biased in your question, by the way, and are going to have a difficult time getting legitimate answers. If you really want to know the scientific explanations for the beginnings of the universe as well as the beginnings on life on this planet, you would be far better served reading about them somewhere OTHER than a religion board--and you would be well-served to leave your biases at the door.
*Addition* In reading your responses to posters, I have to ask you: why are you being intentionally argumentative? You don't want real answers, you want "yes-men" who agree with you. You are clearly uninterested in the actual answers to the question you asked.

Everything including time started with the "big bang" The fact that you can't understand what followed, or the physics involved does not mean that a God did it.
Just because science does not have an explanation of everything does not mean God did it.
Science has answers for 98% of what you listed...the rest will follow.
We evolved from a common ancestor with Apes...not monkey's.
Lacking a basic understanding of what your trying to argue only makes you look....stupider..

The creator doesnt even qualify as a "wacky theory" its just wacky. Life thrives where water exist in liquid form, you just happen to be on a planet where this is happening.
If you think the happy space fairy created it, thats fine for you. The rest of us dont need invisible friends to explain existence.

You may think evolution is a wacky theory. I think Creationism is a wacky theory.
The only reason you ask questions like this is probably because you are doubting your faith in your God and need to be validated. So when you look at it, you're nothing but a heathen as well.

1) its not darwings theory, its the theory of natural selection BY Darwin*
2) look up the string hteory and theory of universal expansion
3) random events caused the big bang. if you disagree the universe is random, then why is it that molecules move randomly? its called brownian motion, btw.
4) and all the things you listed can be explained by the theory of natural selection, too. so i half cheated, i didnt mention any darwings theory xDDDD

Darwin didn't present a theory to the origin of the universe, but the origin of species... Hence the name of his book.
I assume the big bang is responsible for the creation, and I assume that evolution is correct. I don't know for sure that this is correct, but it sounds a lot more feasible than *BANG* the world is created...

the large Bang - the enlargement of our universe from a singularity. it is a lot less complicated to appreciate once you comprehend that each and every thing is really empty area. If each and every thing replaced into squashed down until eventually eventually each and every of the electrons and nucleuses in the atoms were touching the Earth (and each and every thing on it) might want to be about a similar length as an apple. the celebrities got here next truly large nuclear reactions that are the top results of diverse gasses coming mutually after the large bang. The resources necessary for life (Carbon, Oxygen, and so on) were no longer created on the large bang, they were produced by technique of the nuclear reactions in stars (definite thats accurate, atoms in you've been initially on the coronary heart of a movie star). the textile from lifeless stars collected mutually thanks to the rigidity of Gravity to make Planets. life first arrose from reactions between ameno acids which created DNA, difficulty-free cellular membranes then formed round those to produce difficulty-free cells. notwithstanding evolution those then grew to change right into a concepts extra complicated and began to reproduce. tens of millions of years of evolution then observed to provide the animals that we see as we talk. to furnish you a concept of ways insignificant human beings are in the large photo: immagine a 24 hour clock that represents the finished life of the planet. human beings might want to in difficulty-free words have existed for the perfect 2 seconds. the in difficulty-free words element that cant be defined (and that i doubt it ever will) is what led to the large bang. be conscious: it is an fairly short rationalization and that i have handed over truly plenty, there are countless vids on youtube which clarify it a concepts extra constructive than I ever might want to.
